“Courtship Practice”
(November 20, 2016) Green peafowls belong to the pheasant family. They forage on the ground in small groups. During breeding season, the adult males have long tail feathers while young males and females are quite similar in appearance. The adult males display their beautiful fanned tails as part of their courtship. When the young males saw that display they would practice it too.
